I know I’m a little late on this but it’s been a rough year. We’ve lost a lot of musical greats and this man is no exception.

"Commander" Ward was the singer and frontman for the Greatest Band of the 21st Century. He passed away on July 18, 2013 following a battle with brain cancer.

Lawrence, KS-based punk rock maniacs Cocknoose have never gotten the recognition they deserve. They were absolutely wild and out-of-control during live performances. One legend states that they would start fights with audience members and another claims they once threw the head of a freshly butchered deer in to the crowd. They played punk rock like it was meant to be played - loud, fast, and against all the rules.

R.I.P. Devin Alan Ward. You are missed and your contributions to the world of punk rock and music in general will not be forgotten.

I’m a little late here, but I feel like I have to do my part in keeping the memory of a punk rock legend alive. Commander Ward left us a little over a year ago ~ July 18, 2013…Rest in peace…
